Jason – Founding Partner
Jason has 17 years’ experience in making companies profitable via the Internet and has a deep understanding of digital solutions from eCommerce design & build, through to all aspects of digital marketing.
Previously an architect, he started in the ‘90s on the evolution of consumer and B2B e-Commerce channels for the likes of JD Sports, Mitsubishi and Weidmuller. He also directed the development of cutting edge solutions in the fields of email marketing, eCommerce, artificial intelligence & virtual reality.
He has helped expand Bite Group into a £ multi-million business, extending it beyond agency services with the launch of online based Gold Made Simple, Omkara Retreats and DecPlay.
An Insider magazine 42 under 42 alumni, Jason is a conceptual thinker who has recently overseen the evolution and strengthening of Bite Digital into a true 360 digital marketing business with the integration of three new equity partners into the business, all trailblazers in the fields of digital marketing, affiliate marketing and eCommerce.
Declan – Founding Partner
Initially pioneering online marketing techniques with the record industry, with the likes of Virgin, Polydor and EMI… he then replicated this success in other sectors, securing clients such as Unilever, GE Capital, Cannon, Thomson Holidays (TUI). 15 years later, he has won a variety of accolades from industry, including Entrepreneur Magazine’s ‘Top 100 Entrepreneurs’ in the North West and ‘Top 25 e-businesses in the North West’ (by 3i, Hammond Suddards & KPMG). A keen interest in transforming business models, has led to the formation of new eBusiness companies within the Bite Group, such as GoldMadeSimple.com, Omkara Retreats and DecPlayPiano.com
In his spare time, when he is not repairing the thatch on his Irish cottage or conducting (unofficial) Guinness taste tests, he can be spotted playing keyboards in dodgy pub bands.
Rob Blake – Director of Open Source
Rob cut his teeth in the 1990s working for London marketing agencies and producing websites for clients such as Levi Strauss, Interbrew, Mars and Channel 5. He is a passionate advocate of open source software and open web standards. These days he’s busy producing high quality websites and e-commerce systems using open source software including Debian, WordPress and Magento.
Rob is also interested in responsive standards based design. In his spare time he likes walking, video games and real ale, not necessarily in that order.
Andy Guest – Director of Affiliate
Andy has a true flair for Affiliate Marketing, he has spent the last 6.5 years advising multi-million turnover clients such as Liverpool Victoria, TheHutGroup, JJB Sports, Aviva, Carphone Wharehouse and O2 on how to increase revenues from this marketplace.
Andy is responsible for the setup, delivery & management of affiliate strategies, working with clients to identify key growth areas, ideas for promotions and offers suitable to incentivise affiliate growth.
Andy has worked in the digital channel since 1998 for companies such as AOL, Yahoo, AdLINK & Jobsite and was responsible for the launch of a new UK Affiliate Network. He is well placed to work within clients margins to grow ROI.
Kate joined Bite Digital in 2007. Her role has developed as the business has grown. She now manages Content Marketing Campaigns ranging from webpage copy and advertorials, to videos and infographics. Working alongside the rest of the Content Marketing team Kate has experience in creating and marketing a broad range of exciting and innovative online content.
Kate also looks after the day to day operational side of the business.
She came to Bite Digital from the BBC where she worked in the Features Department as a Production Assistant and Researcher on a variety of prime-time television programmes.
Seasoned manager with more than 15 years experience in IT, Telecom and Software, Cristian has joined the software industry after serving as Technical Director for the Romanian branch of KPNQwest – the biggest pan-European ISP during the dot-com boom.
Experienced both with multi-national companies and start-ups, Cristian is result oriented with a strong focus on financial performance and customer satisfaction.
A by-the-book workaholic, if he’s not chained to his laptop he might be asleep dreaming about the next big thing in online.
PRINCE2 qualified, Juliette has over 15 years’ experience in managing digital marketing projects.
Working for a number of agencies, including Amaze Plc, McCann Erickson and MagneticNorth, Juliette has successfully managed digital projects for a large number of blue chip clients, including Brother International Europe, Odeon Cinemas, The Co-Operative Group, UPS, Sainsbury’s Bank, Center Parcs, and Butlins, to name but a few.
Richard has over 20 years experience working as a photographer, illustrator and designer.
He has worked with many London agencies and been involved in a large variety of projects for household brands such as Vodaphone, Virgin, Santander, Heineken, ITV, Speedo, British Gas, Marks & Spencer, John Lewis, Jaguar Land Rover and Sony.
He also writes a popular food blog.
Neil has decades of experience working within paid search directing some of the UKs biggest PPC budgets. What he doesn’t know about PPC is not worth knowing.
A true technophile, Damian has been tinkering with code since around the time he learned to write. Working professionally as a web developer since 1998, he has a passion for elegant, object-oriented PHP and standards-compliant front ends. He is also a strong advocate of Agile and unit testing in a web development context.
When not working or simply coding for fun, Damian likes to pretend he can play the guitar. He also likes Japanese food, movies, reading and creating digital art.
David has managed successful SEO campaigns for many leading UK brands – all aimed at driving targeted website traffic, growing conversions and revenue, and lowering cost-per-conversion. His role has always been heavily involved in developing clients’ digital marketing strategies in collaboration with the other channels to produce the best ROI within the campaign objectives.
He has over 8 years’ experience in digital marketing, having cut his teeth in email and display marketing, PPC and price comparison site optimisation.
He enjoys fishing and writing, although probably not at the same time.
Ryan started writing software in 2002, with passion for web development and games programming. He’s had over half a million downloads of his game mods, and outside of work he’s a glider pilot, hardcore gamer and electronic music anorak!
George is our senior .NET developer and team leader. He has joined us at the very beginning and his contribution has been fundamental to our evolution as a software company. A technical genius and a prodigious developer, he is the architect behind the Teamshare CMS platform and has been involved in virtually every one of our software projects, from conception to execution. His specialty is making Cristian redundant.
A devoted father, when not coding George is happiest spending time with his family.
Ioan joined us mid 2012 after previously developing online trading websites for the last 6 years. Already experienced with .NET and CSS he is now proficient with Teamshare and maintains a keen desire to learn new things.
He enjoys biking and swimming and has a passion for tanks or anything that’s heavily armoured and carries a big gun with it.
Sean graduated from Northumbria University in July 2012 with a degree in Web Design & Development and has worked at Bite Digital since.
He also has a key interest in Music and has played in a band since the age of 14. Up to now this includes 2 headline UK tours, the release of 3 EP’s and 2 singles through a few different independent labels around the country, helping them gain support slots with some big name artists in major touring venues.
Mark is a professionally qualified digital marketer with over 20 years of tactical and strategic experience in numerous digital marketing disciplines. He ensures Bite clients get the best possible email marketing solutions, customer behaviour and conversion optimisation support as well as web analytics set up and reporting.
He is also an Associate Lecturer for Manchester Metropolitan University (where he gained an MSc in digital marketing) and drinks far too much coffee.
Emma manages the fundamentals and foundations of our PPC strategies and processes ensuring the efficient running of the campaigns.
Our dedicated China Marketing Team is led by Ben, a native Mandarin and Cantonese speaker.
His experience at Ogilvy Group in China, the Manchester Investment Development Agency Service, as well as current PHD studies on social media in China, provides the highest levels of branding, marketing and localisation skills for clients seeking to access Chinese markets.
Ben is also a presenter on the BBC Manchester radio programme “Chinatown”.
With a background in PR and marketing Ana-Maria joined us six years ago as a marketing assistant and quickly ended up being involved in all aspects of the business including customer support.
She’s managing the copywriting department and also deals with website and newsletter management for our customers, including design, content and upkeep. A true Net Citizen she is the moderator of a couple of high profile travel and fashion online forums.
Liz is a whiz on SAGE and looks after the accounts but is best known in the office for her delicious and beautifully decorated birthdays cakes…she’s certainly helping to grow our waistlines as well as the business!
She’s also a keen runner completing over 8 half marathons!
Jordan is a ninja SEO with a love for gaming. To quote Pokemon,”I want to be the very best, like no one ever was, to analyse them is my real test, to optimise them is my cause”
Georgia is our bubbly red headed bundle of joy and determined content marketer…she is also very eager to talk!
