The Rise and Demise of the home makeover show


  • Produce an interesting, informative and sharable infographic

  • Increase Smoking Gun’s search rankings for the specified search term and, subsequently, see a rise in conversion rates


The focus of the infographic was on the popularity of home makeover shows during the late ’90s through the early ’00s. It takes a look at why this type of programme garnered so much attention but failed to maintain audiences as we approached the recession.


Who did we communicate with?

Our outreach efforts saw us communicate primarily with interior design and property bloggers, as well as a selection of infographic-enthusiasts. This activity resulted in appearances across a range of sites, creating numerous high quality backlinks.

Brand awareness?

Lots of it! Particularly on Twitter…


And rankings?

Keyphrase ‘Homes PR’ moved to position 1 within Google (up six from the previous month) and our client currently sits at number 1 for ‘Homes and interiors PR agency.’
